1 cup wild rice, rinsed well with cold water
1 cup finely chopped broccoli
¼ cup diced green bell pepper
¼ cup diced yellow bell pepper
¼ cup diced red bell pepper
½ tablespoon Soul Food Seasoning
Bring 2 to 2-1/2 cups water to a boil and add the rice. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 33 minutes. Add the vegetables and seasonings and cook 10 minutes longer or until the vegetables are just tender. Serves four.

1 tablespoon ground red pepper
3 tablespoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons onion powder
1 tablespoon dark chili powder
1 tablespoon paprika
1 teaspoon thyme powder
1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
Mix all the ingredients together. Store in a sealed container. Makes about 3/4 cups.
